  • 【Abstract】 Intelligent public transportation system, using the system engineering theory and *** information communication, positioning and computer network integration in the entire transportation system, is an important study in intelligent transportation system. It provides the traveler dynamic information service, intelligently implements the scheduling of the public transportation, and raises the level of public transportation services according to the real-time transportation data. An intelligent public transportation system based on the wireless sensor networks is proposed in this thesis for this purpose.With the status of the intelligent public transportation system in and out, the program of intelligent public transportation system using wireless sensor networks is provided through the research of wireless sensor networks. The system architecture, key technologies, software and hardware of every part concerned in this program have been studied deeply in this work. The main work is as follows:This thesis presents and analyses the status and development trend of intelligent public transportation system, proposes a program combining wireless sensor networks based on the analysis of intelligent public transportation system function, completes the hardware design of the vehicle-mounted mobile nodes and platform fixed nodes, and programs the node software of data collection, communication and so on.An adaptive wireless sensor networks routing protocol is provided after the analysis of the known wireless sensor networks routing protocols to implement wireless sensor networks applications in the public transportation environment, and satisfies the node construct the network and data transmission in intelligent public transportation system.Positioning is the key of the intelligent public transportation system. The system using wireless sensor networks can implement real-time positioning with the RF module in the node hardware. The *** method can improve positioning accuracy further through refinement algorithm. The practical application needs is met well through test.The intelligent public transportation system is developed to provide basis for facilitate management, scheduling decision, and passengers travel, which implements vehicle operation real-time monitoring and real-time information release through the data communication of the wireless sensor networks combined by vehicle mobile nodes and platform fixed nodes, and puts the foundations for further applications.The content of this work suits the development and renewal of current intelligent public transportation system, and have some practical value. The mobile and fixed nodes of wireless sensor networks developed in the existing experimental conditions meet the design requirements, and the experimental results show the program feasible, which provides a new theoretical basis for intelligent public transportation system, and some reference value for easing urban traffic congestion and promoting public transportation development.
